How to use iCup Drug Test?
The pouch should be brought to room temperature before opening it. Use the cup as soon as possible after removing from the sealed pouch.
To begin, unscrew the lid and collect the urine specimen. The donor needs to provide between 30 mL and 100 mL of urine sample in order to ensure accurate results. Fasten the lid securely after the specimen has been collected. After 5 minutes, peel off the label to read results. Results must be interpreted between 5 and 10 minutes after collection.

How to read iCup Drug Test Results?
Reading an iCup is similar to the reading of 5 panel drug test for screening employees. After collecting the urine sample, check the temperature within 2 to 4 minutes on the self-adhesive temperature strip. Temperature of the urine specimen should be within 90 to 100 ºF. Read results within 5 to 10 minutes by peeling off the label to reveal drug test strips. Reading the results after 10 minutes is considered invalid.
On the iCup testing panel, the Control Region (C) determines the proper working of the test and the Test Region (T) determines the presence of corresponding drug. First, a red line will start to appear next to the Control Region (C). Then, a red line will appear next to the Test Region (T) if the test is negative for the corresponding drugs listed above. Positive result will show only one line in the Control Region (C) indicating the presence of drug(s) in the sample collected.
- Negative result - One line in Control Region (C) and one line in Test Region (T).
- Positive result - One line in Control Region (C).
- Invalid result - No line in Control Region (C).
Invalid drug test results happen when no line appears in the Control Region (C). Should this occur, repeat the test with a new test device or contact the manufacturer. The invalid result may also be due to incorrect procedure or insufficient volume of sample collected.
When reading the results, do not consider the color intensity of the lines which may appear faint or dark. Even a very faint line in the test region suggests a negative result.
Reading Adulteration Strips
For iCup with inbuilt adulteration strips, adulteration test results should be read within 2 to 4 minutes by peeling off the label. The colors on the adulteration strip should be compared with the color chart provided. If the results suggest adulteration, don’t read the drug test results.
